I have mixed feelings about talking animals in books. If it's a book that is supposed to be "real" than it drives me crazy but it does make sense in a fantasy book. It sounds like this could be really interesting.Katherine Phttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12126062556416434416noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19926025.post-57517092436593810532014-04-04T17:48:34.922-03:002014-04-04T17:48:34.922-03:00I think I'd enjoy a talking cat, and I know my...I think I'd enjoy a talking cat, and I know my son would enjoy reading about one!

Thanks for being a part of the tour.Heather J @ TLC Book Tourshttp://tlcbooktours.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19926025.post-40298906179223163982014-04-04T10:08:21.473-03:002014-04-04T10:08:21.473-03:00Thank you so much for giving me space on your blog...Thank you so much for giving me space on your blog! (I love the design, btw - now I want to get my Legend of Zelda games out!) I have to admit, Prowler is quite possibly the complete indulgence of my inner cat lady. Now when I walk around the house talking to my own cats I can call it "research" ;-)Ashley Chappellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10111538335871215137noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19926025.post-38848749726433624032014-04-04T09:20:09.902-03:002014-04-04T09:20:09.902-03:00:) OK, the "premature smiting problem" m...:) OK, the "premature smiting problem" made me grin. I do like talking cats and other animals that communicate through words or telepathically; at least in fantasy,
I love the idea of animals that can converse. The wolf in Robin Hobb's The Assassin's Apprentice remains a favorite character. Oh, maybe I shouldn't get started on favorite animals that speak!jenclairhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06046532245054911248noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19926025.post-15478590756606375572014-04-03T15:18:26.850-03:002014-04-03T15:18:26.850-03:00I had to laugh out loud when I read your statement...I had to laugh out loud when I read your statement about talking cats in books--I had just told a friend I get annoyed when I am reading a cozy mystery and the cats begin to talk. I can only tolerate talking animals in certain types of books.

I've been curious about this book, but also leery. I am leery of most young adult book nowadays. Too many disappointments. The story sounds interesting, and I'm curious about Trotter. Literary Felinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13079276242303738719noreply@blogger.com
