August in Review

What I Learned

That reading a bunch of books at one time is actually a good thing. I don't get bored, so I keep reading... Near the end of the year I tend to get burned out by reading because I tend to read a lot during the start, so if I just keep this up I should be able to keep my numbers up. When I get tired of a book, I just put it down and pick up another one for the moment.

On a totally unrelated topic, I get to see my friend today who is going to be a new mother later on in the month. I haven't seen her in a few months, so I am looking forward to a chance to hang out before her life gets crazy.

  3. I read Ellen Feldman's novel Lucy, about FDR and his mistress, and I liked it to much I'm very interested in picking up her latest Next to Love. You have an amazing stack of books here, friend, both of what you've read and those who are new to you! I'd like to read Fragile Things, too, hoping that I can get to it before Halloween if not in time to follow along with those of you who are reading it.

  8. You're clearly back in the swing of things with your reading. I must read The Help at some stage, I think I'm the last person in the world not to have read it.

I'm doing the same for Sept. Reading when I can for RIP and having fun.
