ReplyDeleteThe Faery Reel was a very good read. I really enjoyed it. Labyrinth was okay. It was what I was expecting. I have the Kitchen Boy on my TBR. And I adore Jasper Fforde. And Shadow of the Wind is one of my all time favorites.
You must finish the Historian!!
Great list of books!
Wow, what a list of books to get through in about 2.5 months! I didn't really like Daughter of the Forest much (I recently reviewed it on my blog), but I love Game of Thrones and ADORE Shadow of the Wind. I also have the Lynn Flewelling books on my TBR pile, as well as Anne Bishop's books. So I'll be sure to keep tabs on your journal!
ReplyDeleteaarti
This list kinda scares me...
ReplyDeleteHeather - All those books you commented on are my priorities because I have started them and never finished them
ReplyDeleteAarti - I have been reading your blog. You are actually the first blogger I saw that didn't like Daughter of the Forest.
Sassymonkey - They are a goal, no one said it was necessarily attainable. :)
Game of Thrones and Martin's following novels are all very good. I just started Eagles Conquest by Scarrow and so far so good.
ReplyDeleteGood Luck!
Mikk
k in the Shadow and New Moon are awesome! :-)
ReplyDeleteI also can't wait to read Poison Study's sequel.
I need to finish Poison Study first, but if I still like it when I finish it, I will have to order the sequel before it comes out in paperback. I like it when books match, even though mine rarely do. If I can make them match, all the better. :)
ReplyDeleteWow, 30 by the the end of the year? That's ambitious! I know I couldn't do it!
ReplyDeleteI love the new look of your blog.
Well, ACTUALLY, I would like to read 47, which would make 200 books read this year...
ReplyDeleteAnd, thanks! I really like my new look, too.
You must be some quick reader...with some thick eyeglasses! :)
ReplyDeleteyou are in for some fun.
ReplyDeleteShadow of the Wind is splendid.... and you will also probably love the Hatbox Letters ( a good place to start ) I have nothing but splendiferous things to say about Jasper Fforde.
Lots of good books! Good luck meeting your goal! I am trying to get all the books on my night stand read by the end of the year, too! (luckily for me that's not as many books...I'm generally a slow reader!). I read The Bronze Horseman twice! She has a sequel out and I think there is a third one out as well, but not published here in the US yet. Also loved The Shadow of the Wind!!

ReplyDelete47! That would be awesome. I hope you accomplish it. I'm rooting for you.
ReplyDeleteP.S. Sharon Shinn is a former colleague and a friend of mine so read her stuff first!
ReplyDeleteYou know Sharon Shinn? Now, that's really cool. And I have been reading her. I only got my first book by her at the beginning of September, so I am doing pretty well.
ReplyDeleteOoh, I hope you enjoy Vampire Hunter D - I certainly did. It's quite good.
ReplyDeleteAnd Stephenie Meyer's New Moon! Ah! FABULOUS book!
