I have not yet read "Brown Girl in the Ring", but I absolutely loved the one novel (The Salt Roads) and the few short stories I read by Nalo Hopkinson. I look forward to your review if you get around to reading it.
ReplyDeleteI haven't read Finley but I hear he's quite good. More for the TBR mountain.
ReplyDeleteI own Brown Girl in the Ring now, but who knows when I will get the chance to read it!
ReplyDeleteI already have a few Findley on the TBR pile, it is just a matter of reading them, which has not happened!
I was impressed by Icefields as well. That would be my choice, but I've never read any of the other contenders this year so can't really compare.
ReplyDeleteYeah, same. I am reading "Brown Girl in the Ring" right now. It is okay, but not the best thing I have ever read.
ReplyDeleteI'm reading the Findley nomination right now. I am really enjoying it and I am glad to see it on the list.
