I have a question...
So, for those of you don't necessarily know, Kailana is not my real name. I used to call this blog 'Kailana's Written World', but I switched my template and shortened it to just 'The Written World'. Anyway, I have been toying with the idea of switching my name on here to Kelly, as that is my real name... I guess I am wondering if that will really screw people up? Is it just easier if I keep things the way they are, or can people get used to the 'real' me?

I am so sorry, but I turned anonymous commenting off. I have had it from the very beginning, but that is how the spam is getting by my spam filter at the moment. If it is a big deal I will turn it back on and moderate all comments. I also changed moderation from older than 14 days to older than 7.

I don't see why it would screw people up overly so. And, since it's your blog, I'd say go with what you want. It's silly to think anything is going to stay unchanged forever, isn't it?

I actually know you as Kelly becaues of our Yahoo group. Although, it took me short time to figure out that it was you.
ReplyDeleteI think that you should go with whatever name you like and your readers will catch on.
Teddy isn't my real name either. LOL!
Yeah, I probably was going to change it regardless of what anyone said!
ReplyDeleteI know you as both, so makes no different to me!
ReplyDeleteI think we'd all get used to it just fine!
ReplyDeleteIt won't affect the regulars.
ReplyDeleteI don't think it will screw people up.
ReplyDeleteBtw, my last name isn't Bookarama, but I secretly wish it was ;)
lol, Chris, that would be a good last name to have!
ReplyDeleteIt took me a little while to realize that your name wasn't Kailana :p So where does the name come from?
ReplyDeleteBy the way, my name's not really Chris :O Just kidding, it definitely is, lol.
ha ha to Chris! :-D
ReplyDeleteKelly/Kailana, I love your blog, and now that I've found you, you can be whoever you want to! My sister has gone by three different versions of her name in her lifetime. I still call her by her second version, which lasted the longest. Just let us know, and we'll hear you.
My eldest was downloading pictures from our computer onto his facebook yesterday and it was so slow he was ready to blow it up! Facebook I find is slow anyway. I'll be doing that once we're in England! As well as adding some to my blog, if my in-laws computer lets me.
People will adjust although I have to say that people in real life frequently have no idea who I am until I say "you might know me as Sassymonkey". Ah the joys of internet life. It just takes a little time.
ReplyDeleteI didn't know that wasn't your name but I would be fine with the change. They both begin with the same letter too which might help. Callista's not my real name either.
