Bad Bloggers

I have been seeing people doing this around the blogsphere, and I wasn't sure if I wanted to participate or not. I figured it couldn't hurt to keep track of where I hear about books, though, right? So, I think I am going to start 'blaming' people when books walk into my house. Since I just back from the library, I thought today was a good day to start. This is also a good way to discover the books that walk into my house, since I am actually really bad at mentioning them!

So far this week I have received:

Gifts
by Ursula K. Le Guin - I think Nymeth is to blame for this. I know she has read them, but I can't remember if she was the reason or not. I used to like Le Guin and then I read some of her Earthsea books... Anyway, I am blaming her.

East by Edith Pattou - Becky is to blame for this one. I remember reading her review and immediately adding it to my wish list!

Signora Da Vinci by Robin Maxwell - Teddy sent me a copy of this book. (Thanks Teddy!) So, I think she deserves some blame, right?

Then, I went away on the weekend to visit a couple of my friends. One of my friends just started reading more, and she actually lent me two books! It's weird because she never used to read and I always used to try and get her to, so the fact that I am blaming her for books coming in my houses is a bit ironic! (I think I am to blame partly. I got her addicted to Douglas Coupland!)

The books:
Burned by Ellen Hopkins
Crank by Ellen Hopkins (finished this one last night.)

I also received:
The Unwritten Girl by James Bow (Review forth-coming. From the author)
Fathom Five by James Bow (From the author)
The Young City by James Bow (From the author)

And, two advanced reading copies:
Little Bee by Chris Cleave
Mutiny on the Bounty by John Boyne

I stole the graphic from Chris... He doesn't mind, right?

  1. I'm glad you're blaming me because I really love that series :D Chris and Becky liked Gifts too, though. I can't wait to hear your thoughts on it.

And I'd forgotten, but Becky is indeed the reason why I got East. So many people are doing Bad Bloggers these days...I probably won't be able to resist joining in for much longer :P

  5. Deslily: I think I might make a separate thing for review copies... I haven't figured out what I am going to do yet.

Chris: I finished Gifts already... I just have to review it!

  7. Tink: I am not sure how it is going to work out. I don't really write down where I hear about books from...
