So, as you can probably tell, I have been rather quiet on the blogging front. All I have been doing is writing book reviews. I haven't wrote any random posts, I am behind in replying to comments, and my blog-hopping is averaging about two or three blogs every time I stop by the computer. Then, I just lose interest and wander off. I made myself actually write my January wrap-up yesterday, though. That was an accomplishment! It mostly consisted of the copy and paste function, but it's a start! I am still undecided on whether I am going to go into details on what's been bothering me lately, so I will just leave the subject for the moment!
One thing that I had to comment on was strange concidences. Last night I watched movies and one of the movies was Sid & Nancy. It's about Sid Vicious from the Sex Pistols. A band I have heard of but never really followed! Anyway, it was more like the early hours of the morning when I was watching it and at the end it says something along the lines of "Sid Vicious died of a heroin overdose on February 2, 1979". For those that hate math, that means that he died thirty-years ago today! I just thought it was weird that I ended up watching the movie on the thirtieth anniversary of his death.
I also learned that assuming is bad. I decided to slow-cook last night and I thought that someone had already plugged the slow cooker in because I saw a white cord. I put all the food in and then afterwards the someone I thought had plugged the slow cooker in added some stuff to the sauce. They also saw the white cord and just assumed that I had plugged the slower cooker in! Anyway, two hours later I discovered that the toaster was plugged in... Not the slow cooker. I am told we had a Sid & Nancy moment; only they had drugs to blame everything on. This was just plain stupidity! The food tasted good in the end, though, so I suppose that is something!
Okay, end random post of the day...
LOL...that totally sounds like something I would do with the slow cooker :p Glad the food turned out good though!
ReplyDeleteWell, it's the toasters fault, really. Or, more specifically, whoever plugged the toaster into that outlet. It is never plugged in to that outlet. lol
ReplyDeleteI agree with Chris.. it's something I would do, of course it doesn't help to see a plug in the outlet !
ReplyDeleteThough I have no idea what bothering you, I hope everything works itself out soon.
ReplyDeleteAnd the slow cooker thing...don't worry about it, I literally do things like that on a daily basis.
Yep...sounds like something I'd do too :P
ReplyDeleteDeslily: Yeah, but it was a funny story. And, everyone can relate!
ReplyDeleteDebi: lol. Yeah, everyone has their days. And, thanks! I hope everything starts to work out soon, too!
Nymeth: I am very glad I am not alone!
Yup, I do things like that all the time. This morning I was putting a box away in the laundry room and accidentally pushed the box against a button and ended up shutting off the hot water heater :0 I thought my shower was a bit cold but never thought anything of it.
ReplyDeleteAt least your food was good! And how was the movie? - it's one I've always meant to watch.
The movie was pretty good, actually! I think I might have seen it before, because it seemed familiar, but I can't remember why it would have came up. They had quite the disturbing relationship!
ReplyDeleteCool, I'm glad you enjoyed it. I like a good bio-pic so I'll definitely check it out :)
