I was writing a list of books I am going to buy for sure in 2011 and I thought I would share them on here!
Fables Volume 15: Rose Red by Bill Willingham
I cannot believe it is up to Volume 15 all ready! The annoying this is that with all the books in this series and the companion series, I always have to wait forever because I am usually caught up...
Out April 12, 2011
Jack of Fables Vol 8: The Fulminate Blade
Another Jack of Fables adventure! These books are really entertaining!
Out February 1, 2011
Jack of Fables Vol 9: The Ultimate Jack of Fables Story
Two Jack of Fables in a year. Yay!
Out July 19, 2011
River Marked (Mercy Thompson Series, Book 6) by Patricia Briggs
YAY! I also cannot believe this series is up to book 6! Time flies! I am so excited for this book! I am hoping that there will be another Alpha & Omega book this year, too. It's been over a year...
Out January 25, 2011
The Unwritten Volume 3: Dead Man's Knock
I still have to read the second book. Should remedy that soon!
Out March 29, 2011
The Dark and Hollow Places by Carrie Ryan
Book 3! So excited about this book, but nervous, too...
Out March 22, 2011
Darkest Mercy: Wicked Lovely Book 5 by Melissa Marr
Apparently this is the last book! I really have to read book 4, but still looking forward to this one.
Out February 22, 2011
Spell Bound: Women of the Otherworld Series by Kelley Armstrong
I think this is the American cover, but still. I love this series!
Out August 2, 2011
The Peach Keeper by Sarah Addison Allen
I was a bit late joining the Allen fan club, but I must say I really like her books!
Out March 22, 2011
The Wise Man's Fear by Patrick Rothfuss
The first book in this series sat on my TBR pile for quite some time unread. Now that I read it, it wasn't too bad of a wait for book 2!
Madame Tussaud by Michelle Moran
I have been waiting for this book since last year!
Out February 15, 2011
The Rose Garden by Susanna Kearsley
2010 was pretty much the Year of Kearsley. Looking forward to her new book!
Out April 15, 2011
There is also:
Lesson in Secrets by Jacqueline Winspear - Out March 22, 2011
Fables Vol 16: Werewolves of the Heartland - Out October 11, 2011
And probably many more! I know one thing, I read authors that are credited with very wonderful covers! This turned out to be a very eye-catching post!
Are you trying to kill me with posts like this??? OMG I LOVE that cover to the Rose Red Fables coming out this year...I seriously need to catch up on that series...I'm only on volume 5!! That means I have lots of great stuff ahead though :) And I already have The Unwritten Vol. 3 preordered! Volume 2 was so good...I think that's my new favorite comic series. I really need to read some Sarah Addison Allen..I just know I would like her and I adore the covers to her books! I'll email you back either tonight or tomorrow :)
ReplyDeleteBlarg, I'm so behind with the Fables universe! I think I've only read up to volume nine in the core series and volume three with Jack. I must catch up.
ReplyDeleteWow Kelly! How do you keep up with all this?!! Looks like you've got lots of good reading ahead...if you don't go crazy waiting for it all! :D I sooooo need to get caught up on Fables...and to read The Unwritten!!!
ReplyDeleteAll I can think is: oooooh, pretty covers! Ooooh, pretty books! I'll wait and see what you think of them before I rush out and get them, but the covers certainly are tempting!
ReplyDeleteI want the first eight on your list too! Should be a good year :)
ReplyDeleteThose are some great looking books!
ReplyDeleteI hadn't heard of Carrie Ryan but the cover and your comment caught my eye so of course I went immediately to Amazon to check out the first book in the series ... and promptly added it to my wishlist!
I haven't read anything by Sarah Addison Allen but have heard great things - and actually have a copy of Sugar Queen on my shelf. Maybe that will be one I'll get to this year!
I didn't realize the new Wicked Lovely books was coming out so soon! I'll have to make sure I'm on the hold list for it at the library!
ReplyDelete(Of course, I've already put in requests that the library continue to purchase the Fables volumes!) :)
Oh wow, I am so behind on Fables. The last one I read was 12, I think, and then I wanted to stop and have a breather and return to the world of Fables later. How did it get 3 volumes on during my breather? Eek!
ReplyDeleteChris: I love this post. All the covers are so pretty! I am looking forward to reading The Unwritten. I just might wait until book 3 and read them all at the same time... We will see. I love Fables, though!!! And Sarah Addison Allen is so good, too.
ReplyDeleteMemory: It is worth catching up!
Debi: It could be longer... Just some of the authors I love don't have anything out this year!
Melissa: I know! I love all of the covers!!!
Rhinoa: You mean there are more than 8? lol I resisted counting!
Lesley: I hope you enjoy Carrie Ryan! The first book by her was sooo good!
Fyrefly: I guess it is the end. I will be curious to see how she does it. I need to read the book before first, though.
Jenny: I read Fables so fast! I only read book 1 in January of 2009... So...
I can't wait to read Madame Tussaud either! I need to get caught up on the Wicked Lovely series as well as Carrie Ryan's. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI am waiting for the last 4 books as well! I really need to start Fables. Someone was supposed to send me the 1st one because my library doesn't have any of them.
ReplyDeleteMake that the last 5 books on your list!
