I have been uninspired to blog this week, but I am looking forward to this post!
Day 5: Bird(s)
Day 6: You
Day 7: Someone Who Inspires You
|
This is an old picture of my grandfather. |
Day 8: A Smell You Adore
Day 9: Something You Do Everyday
Day 10: A Favourite Word
|
I cheated but it is pretty when you put the words together. It was raining so I couldn't go 'Cellar Door' hunting. |
Day 11: Kitchen
|
I hate my kitchen, so Casey in the sink will have to do. If you look closely you can see her tongue. |
Other Pictures from the Last Few Days:
|
Just to prove she is angelic sometimes. |
|
My first postcard for my 'Postcard Project' arrived. Thanks, Care! |
|
Then, more arrived. Thanks Meg! |
|
Thanks Charlotte! |
Then, I went on a picture day yesterday because it rained all week:
|
The statue is Evangeline from a poem by Henry Longfellow. |
|
The church |
|
Apple Blossoms |
|
On the way home the sky turned like this... |
Then, for the Pinterest challenge I read
Code Name Verity and
posted about it here. I also read the newest
Cinderella Fables, but have not blogged about it. I had pinned both books.
That makes 3 projects down.
Great photos, that last one is stunning. I love a cellar door too- come to think of it, I don't see nearly enough, despite living in a wine growing district.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Louise! I was getting a few groceries and had to stop to take a picture! I think the houses in my immediate area are too modern to have cellars...
DeleteWhat a great collection of pictures! I especially like the one of your grandfather :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a great collections of photos -- bits and pieces of life.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Diane!
DeleteWhat a very cool idea. Love the "kitchen" photo.
ReplyDeleteThanks! I love the kitchen photo, too. I just kept clicking until I caught her in the perfect position.
Deletewow some great pics Kelly! love the outdoor shots of trees and such...
ReplyDeleteI think all of the pictures are very cool. I like the different prompts that you used. I took care of a neighbor's cats last month and they loved drinking from the faucet in the sink!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos! I love Day 6: You.
ReplyDeleteThanks! I am not big on taking pictures of myself, so this was my compromise. It was purely accidental, too. The cat jumped on my lap and I thought 'this could work'.
DeleteGreat job! I'll have to see how you liked Code Name Verity! Thanks for sharing these! My Snapshot.
ReplyDeleteI hope you get a chance to read Code Name Verity and enjoy it!
DeleteWoiw! feast for the eyes! Love Days 5 & 8 ... such interesting angles and color. Love the idea of the postcard project (I collect postcards of the US states maps -tackier the better) ... I also love the poem 'Evangeline' so the statue and church are interesting to me! And who doesn't love a sweet kitty ?!
ReplyDeleteCellars are not something we see often on the West Coast...love them, though.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great photo array!
Here's MY SATURDAY SNAPSHOT
Apple blossoms, church spire pointing into the clouds, and oh yes, that last photo. Those are my favourites of your selection.
ReplyDeleteThanks! My phone tends to be a bit darker than if it was a camera, but I like how they turned out.
DeleteThese prompts are such a great way to encourage taking photos daily! Your pictures are great... especially love the kitchen photo.
ReplyDeleteTolkien thought the words "cellar door" among the most beautiful in the English language.
ReplyDeleteYour photos are great, Kelly!
Great photos! I'm intrigued by Day 7...I'd love to know the story there!
ReplyDeleteBack when my grandparents gave me a few of their postcards there were some pictures mixed in with them. I left them there, but I recently reorganized and took the pictures out. I have always really enjoyed that picture, so I thought it would work perfectly. That's a fire engine behind him. Let me know if I answered what you were asking. :)
DeleteGah, I love all these pictures. I really ought to start paying attention to my photography again one of these days!
ReplyDeleteLovely photos! The smell of coffee is my absolute favorite, so I laughed when I saw that photo. :)
ReplyDeleteSo - you must live in the valley near Wolfville and Kentville where I spent the first four years of married life! Beautiful country - and a happy time.
ReplyDeleteYou would be correct. :)
DeleteFabulous photos - especially the old one of your grandfather. That's quite a treasure to own - I hope you have it framed and displayed proudly.
ReplyDeleteLove your pictures. The coffee mug, cellar door and the cat shots are my favorites :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteYour pictures are beautiful Kelly!! Even though it was kind of drear on your photo-safari I think that it perfectly fits the mood of the shots.
ReplyDeleteAnd such a tease with your "you" picture. :P I really need to catch up--I'm still on "something you do every day."
I like all these pictures! So evocative. I do especially Casey in the kitchen sink...I had two cats, Momo and Ms. Ribble who looked quite a bit like that. LOVE.

ReplyDeleteSo many great pictures!! My favorite was the smell you like... coffee!!! Yay!! And the sunset. Beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteLove the picture of your grandfather. I'm wondering what kind of machine/motorized vehicle is beside him....
ReplyDeleteHere's my Snapshot.
