Anyway, I am joining for another year and am happy to see many other people are, too. If you want to sign-up yourself the post with all the information is found here.
Read four books, any length, that you feel fit (the very broad definitions) of R.I.P. literature. It could be King or Conan Doyle, Penny or Poe, Chandler or Collins, Lovecraft or Leroux…or anyone in between.1.

I am a big fan of short stories and my desire for them is perhaps no greater than in Autumn. I see Poe and Lovecraft in my future for sure, and some Angela Carter. You can read short stories any time during the challenge. When I can, I like to read short stories over the weekend and post about them around that time. Feel free to do this however you want, but if you review short stories on your site, please link to those reviews on the Review Site.1.

This is for those of us that like to watch suitably scary, eerie, mysterious gothic fare during this time of year. It may be something on the small screen or large. It might be a television show, like Dark Shadows or Midsomer Murders, or your favorite film. If you are so inclined, please post links to any R.I.P.-related viewing you do on to the Review Site as well.1.

I'm not sure if they're supposed to, but they have the exact same effect on me :P Love this year's button. Enjoy your picks!
ReplyDeleteEverything makes me feel older these days. LOL. On the other hand, the older I get the more I seem to love my reading, so it's all good.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy whatever you pick and I look forward to your thoughts.
I can't believe you haven't already read the Little Stranger and the Graveyard book! you always read a million books lol..and I always read your reviews!
ReplyDeleteOh Kelly, Kelly, Kelly...we want to see a book pool...come on, pretty please...
ReplyDeleteDidn't even think of the age thing, lol...I would've been 24 for the first challenge and 25 for the first one I participated in..thanks a lot Kelly :p Can't wait to see what you read!
ReplyDeleteHi Kelly! I've never done this challenge but I see it everywhere every year. Do you have to have a book blog to participate?
ReplyDeleteHaha I think I accidentally signed in with Brian's email and created a Blogger ID in my name. Oops!

ReplyDeleteI'm always reluctant to let go of summer, and then suddenly it's RIP time and I don't mind at all!
ReplyDeleteI've only been taking part since R.I.P. III and the feels bad enough! ;) Hope you manage to read some great books. :)
ReplyDeleteDebi's right, where's the book pool? ;-) Fall is my favorite time of year. I'm so glad that this challenge is back.
ReplyDeleteYes, like it or not you are one of the old timers, lol! Hard for me to believe that you've been with me from the start just because it seems like only yesterday all this took off and yet we have so many wonderful reading memories together. Wow, where does the time go?
ReplyDeleteI don't know about you but I'm really enjoying The Little Stranger thus far. Nice slow build up.
Thanks so much for always being such an enthusiastic part of these challenges, or non-challenges as the case may be. I do so appreciate your friendship.
I've been so busy these days that I haven't participated in one of Carl's fun challenges since last year! But this is my favorite, so of course I'll have to try. You have some great stuff on your list! I'll be looking forward to reading your reviews.
