Writing: Well, I have been keeping up with my day-by-day journal. It is really fun now because I reread what I did last year. I only record happy things on there so it is nice to revisit happy memories. I have decided that I have to find something for each day, though. I sometimes write some very uninspired things, likely because I get a bit behind, and that is a bit boring to read in retrospect. Otherwise, I have been doing postcards here and there and that is about it for the moment...
Reading: I read my first Patricia McKillip book. It was The Bell at Sealey Head. It was awesome and I can't wait to read more from her very soon. I tend to collect her books and then take forever to get around to reading them. Now I want to read them all! I moved on to Soonchild after that. I am not entirely sure what I think of it to be honest. I am reading it with a group of people and should be done soon. Then, maybe, I will know what I think of it. My reading is quiet, but at least I am reading something.
Listening: Since the last time I wrote one of these posts I finished The Name of the Wind. YAY! I loved it and am so happy I finally reread it. I really must get to book two, but I want to listen to some shorter things for a while. As a result I have started and finished Fuzzy Nation by John Scalzi. I can't believe I have not read more by John Scalzi. I really liked this book and the ideas it presents. It is actually based off an older book that I now want to read. There was one scene where I couldn't help thinking I am glad I chose to do an audiobook. I think it surprised me more hearing it instead of just reading it.
Watching: Nothing in particular. I saw the Hansel & Gretel movie. That wasn't as bad as it could have been. Otherwise I never really seem to find time to watch anything lately. It's sad. I have a lot of stuff I really would like to get around to watching!
Looking: More pictures, of course!
Learning: How to use a Canon EOS 60D. I should probably learn how to use my own camera first, but I am big on new toys, I guess...
Feeling: Stressed! I think I have to get a new car... I went car shopping today and I am excited on the one hand, but overwhelmed on the other. I wasn't planning to get a new car this year. My other car was supposed to last me for many more years. Things never work out as you plan...
Anticipating: Well, a new car. I took what I think will be my new car for a test drive earlier today and it was very exciting. My car doesn't have some of the newer features that more recent cars have. There will be lots to play with.
Wishing: More time as always. I never accomplish half of what I would like to accomplish... I really wish I could get back into a more consistent reading and blogging groove.
Loving: The weather finally getting nice. That other than the stress of the car I feel much more content than I have most of the year. That it is almost the weekend.
I also loved Name of the Wind and want to reread it, but I'm waiting for Book 3 and then I'll do all three at once. Or at least close together.
