Week in Review (5)

Random Thoughts
Well, we have definitely hit winter. We had cold temps before, but this is more snow than we have got the rest of the winter in just a few days! And there is another storm headed here tomorrow. Needless to say, Mackie has had lots of fun running around outside in the snow. He got a new toy and enjoys chasing it around. I am glad it worked out! Plus the combination of snow and his new toy has left him rather tired afterwards. I am glad to see him actually burning off some of his excess energy!

Graphic Novel Year

I had planned to do a post of what was on my TBR for Graphic Novel Month, but I didn't get a chance to put the post together. Hopefully I will before the month is over and actually read some of the books, too!

Audiobooks

I am still making my way through The Hero's Guide to Saving the Kingdom. I had heard good things about this and am glad I am finally checking it out myself! I have been saving some Audible credits so I can get more in the series...

Currently Reading

Scarlet by Marissa Meyer. I had planned to finish this yesterday, but some adventures with snow, plows, and my car getting stuck killed that. Hopefully tonight!

Weekly Reading

(January 29, 2015) - I bought this book with my Christmas gift cards from 2013. I had it out from the library a few times and just wasn't getting to it... So glad I finally did! This is a good example of getting to books that I have wanted to read for ages and just never got around to before...

(January 30, 2015) - This was a reread. I originally read it soon after it came out in 2012, but wanted to refresh my memory after the sequel arrived the other day... I liked it just as much with a reread as I did the first time. I can't wait to finally work my way through the other books!

  2. So glad you enjoyed Shine--I absolutely LOVED that book! And aren't dogs and snow the cutest thing ever?!! Even on the days when Bacon seems on his deathbed, he turns right back into a puppy when he goes outside into the snow.

  3. I hope you are staying as safe and warm as possible, Kelly! I know some parts of the world have been hit hard by the snowstorms. :-(

I just got done prepping my post for tomorrow about books within certain genres I can't believe I haven't read yet and probably should have put Meyer's series on there. Oh well. I did say the list could go on for miles. :-)

  4. My parents got their puppy a few years ago when it snowed in Louisiana, and she went mad for the snow. We had a hard time getting her to come inside at all! This winter it would be sort of nice if she'd expend all that energy running about outside instead of trying to convince us to throw toys with her inside. :p

  5. Silly kitty. That is a great picture!

I am so glad Mackie loves the snow. Gretchen has been reliving her youth since our storm yesterday. She would spend all day out there if we would let her.

Stay warm and keep safe! I think you are getting another storm soon!
