I was going to write reviews, I am way behind, but I have this stupid sinus issue right now. I think the weather changed enough to bring out new things to drive my nose crazy! Anyways, I feel kind of blah, so I don't have much inspiration to write about the books that I have read lately. Not because they were bad, but because I want to write good reviews of them because they were good!
Anyways, some new avenues that I have went down. In the YA department, I have started Patricia C. Wrede's Enchanted Forest Chronicles. I started book 2 last night. Book one is one of the books that a review is pending for.
I am still reading many of the longer books I mentioned in a previous post. Not a lot of time to sit around and read lately. I hope to finish them all up this week so I can move onto the other books I have planned.
Tonight at work I finished Firefly Cloak by Sheri Reynolds and started Tenth Circle by Jodi Picoult. I need to update my currently reading and to review section after I finish this post. It has turned out to be a post more to say "I'm alive" than anything.
My allergies don't last long. Hopefully they will clear soon and then I can talk about all the good books I have been reading.
Oh, and, as of last Thursday I am only allowed to go to the book stores once a week, on Wednesday, and only if I don't have to work. I don't really need anymore books, but it is me and one of my friends thing to do on Wed. We know the woman that works that night, it is the only night she works at the bookstore, so we go in and visit. Me and her are both fantasy and history nuts, so we discuss what we are reading and stuff. And then I find a couple recommendations in my hands. haha.
Anyways, hopefully I will be feeling better soon!
Hope you feel better soon!
ReplyDeleteI am, actually. A lot of what I needed was sleep! I managed to catch up on some today, so maybe I will feel up to catching up on my reviews tonight. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you're feeling better - was going to say, "Hope you feel better" but I see you got some sleep. Yay for sleep. It's a very underrated thing.
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to your review on the Sebastian Japrisot book, as that one's on one of my TBRs (they're everywhere). And, I'd pretend you tagged me but I'm having enough trouble keeping my head above water. Maybe in a few days . . . I'll let you know. :)
Glad you feel better! I just got Twilight today and I am diggin right in. Have you read Sunshine? If you haven't I recommend it!
ReplyDeleteBookfool - I really liked "A Very Long Engagement". I thought it was well-written.
ReplyDeleteMailyn - What is "Sunshine"? Oh, wait, is that the Robin McKinley book?
yeps, the Robin book. I thought it was great. The heroine did get on my nerves once in a while with her rambling but overal everything else made up for it.
ReplyDeleteOh, how about The Priest of Blood? I loved that one!
Hope you are better.
Hi Kelly, just wondering how you're doing. Still alive?
ReplyDeleteYes, having internet problems. Called our providers. They said it was our computers, but after much battling, I am online. I don't think it was the computers.
