Twenty-five Favourite Books (so far)

Okay, I altered this and took the numbers out, because I don't want numbers to limit them. These are quite simple, books that I would read again. I also have the three main genres I read included. I also, didn't do classics. The only two that are mentioned is Anne of Green Gables and Lord of the Rings. I am going to do classics seperately, but not today.

  1. Good list! As with every list like this there are some books/authors I have heard of but haven't read and some that I've neither heard of nor read.

I think Anne of Green Gable, The Time Traveler's Wife, LOTR, and Good Omens are the only books on your list that I have read. They are all fantastic.

  2. I'm notorious for cheating on these type of things and I intend to here as well...just thought I'd be honest about it. I will count trilogies, such as LOTR as one book and Gene Wolfe's 2 book Wizard Knight series as one book, etc. So here goes, in no particular order:

    Dracula by Bram Stoker
The Time Traveler's Wife by Audrey Niffengger
    Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman
    Stardust by Neil Gaiman
Lord of the Rings (plus Silmarillion) by J.R.R Tolkien
The Adventures of the Stainless Steel Rat by Harry Harrison
The Wizard Knight by Gene Wolfe
Time and Again by Jack Finney
The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane by Kate DiCamillo
Complete Works of Edgar Allan Poe
The Mystery of the Yellow Room by Gaston Leroux
    Riddle-Master by Patricia A. McKillip
A World Out of Time by Larry Niven
    Something Fresh by P.G. Wodehouse
The Snarkout Boys and the Avocado of Death by Daniel Pinkwater
The Importance of Being Earnest/The Ideal Husband by Oscar Wilde
    Tom Jones by Henry Fielding
Anne of Green Gables series by L.M. Montgomery
The Phantom of the Opera by Gaston Leroux
Time Enough for Love by Robert A. Heinlein
The Mystery of the Sea by Bram Stoker
    Galileo's Daughter by Dava Sobel
The Coming of Conan the Cimmerian by Robert E. Howard
Bean Blossom Dreams by Sallyann J. Murphey
My Dog Skip by Willie Morris

That was harder than I thought, especially trying to weigh certain books vs. others. It was alot of fun though!
