Not Much to Say Today

I called the vet today about my dog. I pushed the date back until next week just because of the wedding and stuff. It would make all that celebrating hard if I had to put her down, so next Wednesday I will find out if it is really serious like I think it is or if it is something easily fixed. I really rambled on the phone with the vets office, she could tell it was the last thing I wanted to be doing, but Sandy is hardly eating, we can't get the weight off her, and she sounds like she is going to vomit but nothing happens.

Tomorrow I am hoping the job finding fairy will come to visit because I am going job hunting.

In reading news, I started Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell by Susanna Clarke and a Star Trek book. I have a couple other books I am reading a bit of at a time, but last night I sat down with Susanna Clarke to just read a chapter and ended up reading way more than that. I was up pretty late...

  1. Oh no Kailana...I'm so sorry to hear about your dog :( I'll keep my fingers crossed for you. She's beautiful and I know how much dogs come to mean to their owners. I don't know what I'd do without mine.

Clarke's book is wonderful. I hope you can get a little bit of joy and some comfort in reading that. I stayed up many long nights with that chunkster.

  2. Thanks Chris. I look forward to reading some of Clarke tonight, it might take my mind off things.

  3. Oh, that's too bad. It's tough when pets get older.

  4. all in all.. getting all sucks! This goes for people as well as animals!

I hope you don't have to put her down, but I hope whatever is wrong isn't making her suffer... no matter how old our animals get..it never seems long enough.

  5. Kailana, I'm so sorry for you and your dog that he is not feeling well. I'll keep my fingers crossed that things turn out well.

  6. Oh I'm so sorry! My uncle-in-law has an old hound that has taken a liking to me and she has heartworms (they have her on medicine so maybe it will help). I know she probably doesn't have that much time left but I do try and make it happy for her. She's such a sweet girl.

  7. I really hope it turns out to be something simple. Losing a pet can be so painful :(

Jonathan Strange is really addictive, isn't it? I look forward to reading your final thoughts on it.

  8. Howdy folks,

Thanks for all the well-wishings about the dog. I knew this was coming, I just wish it could have been a couple years from now. Me and her are going to spend as much time as I can together for the next week and then we will see what happens on Wednesday. I will keep you posted.

As to reading, Clarke is wonderful but I got sick *sniff* so I am not as far into it as I would like. I plan to read some tonight.
