Bad Bloggers - Take Six
I just got back from the library! No surprise there! Anyway, I took back seven books and brought home the following:
Bogus to Bubbly: An Insider's Guide to The World of Uglies by Scott Westerfeld - Want to finish off the books in this series.
The Adoration of Jenna Fox by Mary E Pearson - Can't remember...
Ella Minnow Pea by Mark Dunn - Deb has read this a couple times. It looks interesting!
Vlad: The Last Confession by C.C. Humphreys - Entirely impulse. It just came in, too, so I am the first person to read it.
Flora Segunda by Ysabeau S. Wilce - Can't remember...
Little Brother by Cory Doctorow - Nominated for an award...
Savvy by Ingrid Law - I think I saw a review of this one, but can't remember where!
Old Man's War by John Scalzi - FINALLY! Carl is to blame, but I have seen good reviews since.
Life as we Know it by Susan Beth Pfeffer - I have seen so many reviews of this book, it is hard to say where I heard of it from, really.

Can't wait to hear what you think about Vlad - that one looks really good!
ReplyDeleteOooh, you got some great ones. I hope you enjoy Old Man's War and Lifer as We Knew It. Loved those too. I've been meaning to read Flora Segunda ever since it came out. I think I first heard of it at Endicott Studio. I also want to read Savvy and Jenna Fox..I've heard great things about them.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely loved Ella Minnow Pea. I recommended to a friend and she felt like she was too dumb to get it after reading only the first few letters. If you are urged to give up, please don't.
ReplyDeleteOooh, you got a nice pile there!!! I really liked both Jenna Fox and Life as We Knew It. And I've got Little Brother on my TBR pile and Ella Minnow Pea, Savvy, and Old Man's War on my wish list...so I'm really looking forward to see what you think of them.
ReplyDeleteThat is an AWESOME selection of books :D I loved Life as we Knew it! Fantastic book. And I'm beyond thrilled that you got Old Man's War! Hope you love it as much as I did! Oh, and I saw you read Fruits Basket! Did you like it? I love the anime.
ReplyDeleteAmy: Yeah, my boyfriend was flipping through that book last night. I think even he is looking forward to the review since I doubt he will read it himself!
ReplyDeleteNymeth: I am looking forward to all of them. Old Man's War was supposed to be for the sci-fi experience but it didn't come in.
Booklogged: Glad to hear you enjoyed Ella Minnow Pea. I really like the idea behind it!
Debi: Hopefully I will get them all read!
Chris: I really liked Fruits Basket. It was cute! I am going to try and read the rest of the series. :)

ReplyDeleteCould not get through the Vlad book but good luck. There is only one impaling scene (thank goodness)
Wow! Great selection!
ReplyDeleteWanted to let you know that I left you an award over at my blog. :D
You can find it here.
Rachel: Yeah, it's been on my hold lists since it came out. I considered taking it off when you said a few things about it, but I am going to give it a try!
ReplyDeleteLeya: Thanks! I am headed over there to check it out. :)
