I read 19 and I think that was a record, for me. In fact, I've read 87 for the year and that's huge. I want to read as fast as Kailana, when I grow up. :)
ReplyDeleteLOL@Bookfool :p I don't think any of us can read as fast as Kailana :p Forest of Hands and Teeth is one of my favorites of the year so far too! I can't wait til we get the companion book in 2010!
ReplyDeleteBy the way, my word verification word was Pookmeyer...I think that's my new favorite word :p and the one for this comment is "ovesin" you sure do get some good ones ;)
ReplyDeleteThat's a great list of books! I read Skellig years ago, I remember I enjoyed it, though I can't remember exactly why. I should get out my copy for my daughter this summer.
ReplyDeleteI also read The Hunger Games in May, really liked it.
I hope June is also a good month for you.
As always you amaze me!
ReplyDeleteI too loved Graceling!! It was a really good book.
And I only finished ONE. That's the least amount ever. However, my yard looks lovely. :)
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to read Graceling and The Forest of Hands and Teeth! You read great stuff, Kailana. I also really loved The Love We Share Without Knowing. It's on my favorites list for the year, too!
ReplyDeleteI read Hunger Games last month as well, and I think I have Sweetheart to read as well. Good job last month. I was happy to have read 16.
ReplyDeleteHi Kailana, this is one of those better late than never comments.
ReplyDeleteI see on my blog that in Dec 08 you had a spirit of christmas award for me. This is the 1st time I have read if it...sorry...can I still collect it?
you can reach me at janezworld@hotmail.com
Wow, 21? My highest is 18. Not sure I'll ever be able to go above 20!
ReplyDelete21 is not merely a good number, it's a freakin' fantastic number! I'm generally happy to hit 12...and believe me, I don't even do that all that often. Oh man, and there's so many on your list there that I really want to read!
ReplyDeleteMan, I'm jealous.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on such a good month and I agree with Bookfool - I wanna read like you when I grow up.
cjh
Holy smokes! How do you read so many books in one short month? You're amazing.
ReplyDeleteBookfool: Yay for reading 87 books this year! That's a great number! This year is a weird year for me. I haven't read this many books since I was a kid! I am liking it. :)
ReplyDeleteChris: There are people that read faster, so, yes, people can! haha Forest of Hands and Teeth is a great book. I am looking forward to more in 2010! The word verification can be pretty fun. I still find it annoying, but what can you do!
imbookingit: Skellig was really good. I am happy that I read it! It was different, which is what I needed. Everyone is reading The Hunger Games. lol I hope June is good for you, too!
Pat: Aw, thanks! Graceling was great, huh? I am looking forward to more from her!
Les: I am so happy that your yard looks lovely! I hate lawn work. I mow the lawn, that's about the extent. Someone suggested a garden and I think me and the cc are still laughing at the concept. I would kill everything!
Meghan: I hope you enjoy both books when you get a chance to read them! Thanks!
Nicole: Another Hunger Games reader. It was popular in May! Sweetheart was good. Not my favourite book ever, but enjoyable.
jane: I will email you back, but of course you can still acknowledge it. Christmas spirit is a yearly thing.
3m: I never used to think I could either, but I did it this year. I am very proud of myself. lol 18 is really good too!
Debi: Well, you are a lot busier than I am. Never forget that! If I had your life I don't know how I would find time to read. You amaze me! And, I miss your posts! Hurry back!
cj: Thanks! lol
Booklogged: I don't know, to be truthful! I am always amazed at the end of the month how much I have read. And, thanks!
ReplyDeleteI'm amazed at how much you read! Impressive!!
ReplyDeleteJoanna: Thanks!
ReplyDeleteDEFINITELY still a good number! And I really want to read your other two favourites.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Ana. I think you would enjoy both of them!
ReplyDeleteOoooh oooh... Girl Meets Boy is another one that I want to read!
ReplyDeleteAlice: Girl Meets Boy was really good! The lovely Nymeth sent it to me and I have already been lending it to friends!
ReplyDeleteOh frak ... 7 days into June and I forgot to do my May wrap-up lol!
ReplyDeleteYou read so many books this month, great job! I'm interested to see your thoughts on the MangaShakespeare. I was looking at them the other day and I know someone mentioned to me that there is a difference between the Manga and NoFear titles - one series being more true to the text.
Joanne: June is flying by, don't you find?
ReplyDeleteI will probably do a group post on the Manga Shakespeare books. Probably sooner rather than later because I don't want to forget everything that I want to say! Stay tuned for that. :)
