Sunday Book Coveting... Library Overload

This is the list of books that are due back to the library on the 22nd and are nonrenewable! I am still feeling the effects of renew all... Anyway, I hope to read some of them!

A Coalition of Lions by Elizabeth Wein - I didn't love the first book, so haven't been rushing.
The Ghost Brigades by John Scalzi - I think I might just buy this..
Monkey Beach by Eden Robinson - Really want to read. Wanted to read forever.
Out Stealing Horses by Per Petterson - Really want to read.
An Anthropologist on Mars by Oliver Sacks - Could probably wait and get this one again.
Tom's Midnight Garden by Philippa Pearce - Read it!
Found by Margaret Peterson Haddix - Want to read, but if I don't, that's one less new series.
Silk by Alessandro Baricco - Read it!
The Ruby Key by Holly Lisle - Really want to read.
Larklight by Philip Reeve - Looks fun, so hopefully will read.
Poison by Chris Wooding - Want to read, but can hold off.
Maid Marion by Elsa Watson - Want to read, but can hold off.
What They Always Tell Us by Martin Wilson - Same as above.
Betrayed by P.C. Cast - Really should read since this is the second time I have had it.
The Amazing Maurice and His Educated Rodents by Terry Pratchett - Really want to read!
Slaughter-House Five by Kurt Vonnegut - Really want to read!

Let's see how many of those I actually get through... I have what, nine days or so?

  1. I have a few of those on my TBR list especially Tom's Midnight Garden. I think you can read them all. Just read the smaller ones first! =) Now I'm off to find more information on the one's I haven't heard of. Thanks for posting!

  2. I don't feel so bad now. I've 11 books borrowed from our local library as well as 2 from interlibrary loan. Some of them are on their 3rd renewal. :( I can only have the ILL books for three weeks, no renewals so I prioritize those. I read slowly, so 13 books feels like a huge amount! Oh, yes. I requested four more today, although one is for my daughter.

  3. Love the comments you added beside each book! All my library books go into piles of must-read, want to read and meh once I get them home. And here I thought the library was supposed to be easy and stress-free :)

  4. I've enjoyed Silk by Alessandro Baricco!

I can only borrow a maximum of three books from the library per visit. :(

I visited the library today and this is my first Library Loot report. :)

  7. Maurice is fantastic so I hope you get to that. Ah yes... library books. I sometimes think it's just as well our tickets restrict us to 8 per person here or I'd need a wheel barrow to cart mine home.

  8. Vasilly: I am doing my best! Hope you find some good ones to read.

Bookwormom: Well, I try to stay at the forty books out at a time range, but that doesn't always work out.

Joanne: haha, easy and stress-free. I wish!

Alice: Silk was quite good. I think I wish I could only take three books out at a time. I could stay on top of that.

    Ana: Thanks!

Susan: haha, we are not strange at all. We are just library addicts. lol

  10. Scalzi is definitely worth buying. I love Slaughterhouse Five. I have an ancient copy of it -- probably paid a whopping quarter (my best finds always seem to be at the library sale).

  11. Bookfool: I should buy Scalzi. I haven't read it yet because I imagine that is what I will end up doing, so might as well read the others.

I am so sorry, but I turned anonymous commenting off. I have had it from the very beginning, but that is how the spam is getting by my spam filter at the moment. If it is a big deal I will turn it back on and moderate all comments. I also changed moderation from older than 14 days to older than 7.
