  2. I'm nodding my head in agreement with so many of your picks: Peter and Max, Bone, The Plain Janes, Rapunzel's Revenge. . .Sad to say I haven't read anything from your Canadian or fantasy lists. How could I forget about East? *sigh* I guess I'll reread it this year so I can place it on my best of 2010 list. ;)

  3. I am glad you had such a great reading year, Kelly. Maybe some of that will rub off on me for this new year. :-)

I am glad to see Fingersmith on your list of favorite adult novels. It's winning the poll on my blog right now, so I may be reading that soon. I really want to get to Garden Spells and Cleopatra's Daughter this year. And Old Man's War.

I got a copy of Gil Adamson's book based on your recommendation and am looking forward to reading that.

Thanks for sharing, Kelly! I hope you have a wonderful New Year.

  4. I wholeheartedly agree about Cleopatra's Daughter. Maus is on my to-read list, and I'm going to have to borrow my daughter's copy of Bone as I've been hearing such good things about it.

  14. What a fabulous list! I see many I've read agree with you, many that are on my tbr list and I'm really pleased to see Peter and Max on your list. I only disagree with you on one book (out of the ones I've read of course), Laika. And for Fables, can't we just just say Fables (all volumes) it would be so hard to pick the best one!

Congratulations on such a good reading year! See, even though you were worried about times when you weren't reading much, you clearly were doing well with it, anyway :-)

  27. Congratulations Kailana!!! 368 books.....you and Nymeth and Eva are the goddesses of book reading! lol I'm with Stephanie, I think reading 50 or (in my case) 78 books, is excellent! So I do bow down to you three. I think I would have to give up sleeping to get anywhere close to that! but, you all enjoyed and reviewed what you read, and you had fun reading, so it doesnt' matter the total, just that books are getting read! But if we handed out crowns....lol....and your book list, like Eva's, is one for us all to draw from! I'm still waiting for Bone-Crossed to come out in mass market!!! Really anxious now that I see it on your list.....Skellig almost made it on mine, but I only had a top 10 list or it would have. I've been hearing good things about The Day The falls Stood Still, thanks for reminding me about it!! And I keep picking up The Outlander, maybe it's time I just buy it!! Like Pat, I'm now looking for Fingersmith also. I'm so glad you enjoyed your reading year! Well done. I hope next year is just as good for you!!

  28. If you ever get a chance to watch the recently released DVD about Jeff Smith I highly recommend it. It is extremely well done, very fun, and made me want to read Bone all over again.
