Week in Review (5)

Random Thoughts

It was a quiet week for me on both the blogging and reading in general. I have several books started, but between things going on and my general mood I didn't seem to find much reading time this week. My to do list just for today is nuts, but I am determined to get this post written. For those that are wondering what books I have started this week they are: North and South by Elizabeth Gaskell (buddy read with Amanda/Reading Swap list for Ana), Daughter of the Forest by Juliet Marillier (buddy read with Melissa/Reading Swap list for Rhinoa), Norwegian Wood by Haruki Murakami (Chris tells me I have to read it), and Vampire Voss by Colleen Gleason (ARC/buddy read with Amy). I am liking all of them, but started too many books because I couldn't make up my mind and now just can't seem to read anything.

Challenge News

As you can see I have lots of books on the go that work for challenges, but didn't accomplish finishing much. I did read Judgment in Death, though, which I counted for the Sci-fi Experience.

Weekly Reads

27. Judgment in Death by J.D. Robb (Review forth-coming)

And... that's it! That's sad! I did really like it, though.

  1. I finished my second book of the week this morning. It's been a slow week for me too.

  2. It's been a slow for me too though I think it has to do with the ridiculous amount of time I've been online. :-) Fingers crossed that next week is better for us.

  3. I loved Something Wicked This Way Comes. I keep meaning to see the movie. You've got to let me know if Blackberry Wine is any good. I loved Chocolat and I've been thinking of re-reading it lately.

  4. My eldest son and I were just talking about Norwegian Wood, a few days ago. I bought a copy and he promptly made off with it. He still hasn't read it, but I still haven't read the Philip K. Dick book he loaned me, so we're even. LOL Can't wait to see what you think of it. I've yet to get all the way through a Murakami.

  5. I remember seeing The Spiritualist on your blog so yesterday when I was trying to find a book to buy for my Kindle this seemed like the perfect story. It's really good so far!

And, I agree with Chris, you must read Norwegian Wood. It's so good!

  6. I hope you enjoy North and South. I like it very much in retrospect. I really need to reread it.
