Week in Review (27)

Random Thoughts

I am pretty excited that if all goes well I will have a new computer tomorrow! I will have to find time today to write my post for tomorrow because I might be a bit distracted with my new toy. I am going to be glad to get rid of this computer. It is very slow because it is so old, probably needs to be reformatted, and likely has viruses.

In other news, not having a computer did lead to some reading this week. This computer was annoying me so much that I tried to avoid it whenever possible. I have to laugh at myself. I am reading several books at one time, and I still have to resist the urge to read more. There are so many books that I really want to read! I made an effort to finish a couple of books yesterday so I could get around to starting a couple others today. I have a strong suspicion that what I start will not be what I was planning, but that is normal for me.

Challenge News

Once again I am working on the Historical Fiction Challenge. I think I am almost done. This week I read The Help by Kathryn Stockett, The Legacy Katherine Webb, and The Things We Cherished by Pam Jenoff.

  1. What kind of computer did you decide on? I can testify that new computers are bad for reading! ;) The only book you read this week that I've read is The Awakening. I only let myself read 5 physical books at one time, and each has a loose 'category' to follow: otherwise, I don't think I'd ever finish books!

  2. Enjoy your new computer when it arrives! :-)

Normal for me these days is a couple of books at a time but only because sometimes my main read is not suitable to read in bed at night - it might be a particularly scary or gory crime thriller or something. But as with everything, it varies.

    **Cath: Thanks!

**Kim: It was! I have been. :)

**Iliana: Thanks, it has so far!

**Debi: My reading varies, though. Last week I hardly read anything at all and this week is going slow, too.
