Week in Review (42)

Random Thoughts

I am still not really reading, so not much point in even bothering with this post... I hate when I don't read. It probably leads to more stress and then the desire to read is gone even more. I am hoping December will be a better reading month.

Don't forget to sign-up for Virtual Advent! We have been doing really well with sign-ups so far, but the more the merrier! I am really looking forward to seeing what everyone chooses to talk about this year. Around this time last year it was discovered that the cc's sister had cancer and she wound up dying 2 weeks later. Needless to say it was not very festive around here and I was distracted from the Advent Calendar last year. I think that means I am looking forward to it all the more this year. I will be joining in for the festivities on the 24th. I annually post with Carl from Stainless Steel Droppings for the event.

  1. Sorry you seem to be in a reading funk lately -- I know how frustrating that can be. When it happens to me, I just have to wait it out, and suddenly I pick up a book, and out of nowhere, the drought is over :)

It's not that you have few books read and posted on that limits my comment ability. It's just that I don't know what to say. Here's to a happy festive season to wind out the year. I'm grateful for fun bloggers who post no matter what and enjoy yapping about books as much as I do!
Guess I could think up more to comment on after all.

i understand the frustration of a reading slump; been in and out of that lately myself; even film watching is a meh.

going to sign up for the Advent thing this year. I remember reading some great ones last year. but to think of something to write on...

I hope December will be a happier reading month for you, too, as well as the rest of November.

  4. I feel your reading funk pain! Sometimes life just gets in the way and books just don't call out to you like they normally do. Hopefully you'll find a book to reinvigorate your reading!

  6. I am actually glad to see that you haven't read anything this week because I haven't read anything since last Tuesday. I feel so miserable about it, but I just haven't had any time recently...

  7. Yep...still need to sign up, don't I? I swear I haven't forgotten--I just can't come up with any ideas what to post about. :( But I will. Really.

  8. **Aarti: Me either... And when I do have the time, I don't seem to have the motivation...

**Debi: Yes! You could do what I suggested for Nancy (Bookfool) and just post pictures... Or you could post the same day as Ana, Heather, Chris, etc and do something together...

I am so sorry, but I turned anonymous commenting off. I have had it from the very beginning, but that is how the spam is getting by my spam filter at the moment. If it is a big deal I will turn it back on and moderate all comments. I also changed moderation from older than 14 days to older than 7.
