Friday Reads - 6th Edition

I am enjoying this book so far. I have read the first section and look forward to reading more.
This is actually one of the better short story collections I have read. I haven't been disappointed with any of them so far.
I am really enjoying this book, but it is a bit slower going than the other books I am reading so it sort of slacks...
I have been hearing lots about this author and I am finally reading her. I am enjoying it immensely! I am learning a lot.

  1. I have Songs of Love and Death, mainly because I want to read the Diana Gabaldon story. I am not even sure if I will read the others at all, simply because I may not have time.

Word verification: Cowess - that's not very nice!

    1. I am terrible with short story collections. I have a couple others out at the moment that I will probably just read the interesting stories in.

  4. Short story collections can be so hit and miss can't they. I like the sound of Songs of Love and Death though, some good authors in that.

  5. Songs of Love and Death sounds like one I need to add to my list. Of course, looking at the authors on the cover, I'm not surprised it's good. I have In Other Worlds, but haven't gotten around to it yet.

  7. I'm so glad I am not the only reader to have several books on the go at once! I had the day off so slept in and then read in bed. I got to dip into several books--finished a short story, read a bit of my classic, a chapter of a NF I'm working on and started a new book. A good reading day indeed. I've hear good things about The Winter Palace and I am curious about that Atwood, though I should pick up one of her other novels first that is unread on my shelves. Enjoy your books!

  9. The Winter Palace has a awesome cover. The other ones are new to me but I see from the comments that others have read and loved many of them!
