| Casey and her mouse. She absolutely adores these type of mice. She keeps losing them, though. When I finally broke down and gave her a new one (these are pricey) she woke me up at 5:30 in the morning with the mouse in her mouth. |

ReplyDeleteOur cat would love that toy, not because of the mouse factor, but because it has feathers, and he goes CRAZY whenever there's a feather around.
Yeah, that picture turned out great. It took about 30 tries to get, though. She always moves. It's worse if I use my phone because it makes a beeping noise just beforehand and she automatically wants to know where it came from and moves...
DeleteThe feathers don't last. The older versions are missing all of them and that one lost most of the green one the first night.
I discovered The Civil Wars at beginning of January. I like their sound a lot, and have been seriously considering adding an album to my collection so that I can listen to them while I drive. Good stuff.

DeleteI am not a huge Taylor Swift fan either. It was pure accident that I even saw the video for her new song and only stopped to listen when I saw it was featuring The Civil Wars.

ReplyDeleteOh, Casey loves her laser pointer. She tracks it down, picks it up in her mouth and then drops it at someone's feet. I am trying to get a picture or video, but no luck so far...
DeleteYou picked 4 I really like. I LOVE Barton Hollow though. And curse her, for being so beautiful and so talented! lol He is really good too; definitely knows how to play guitar. He reminds me of Jack White so much, in looks anyway.

DeleteCasey looks like a character! I keep finding old "mice" around here...sometimes they disappear for a long time only to be re-discovered with great pleasure by one of the Triad. I was keeping some toys in a drawer in a little chest in the hall, but they discovered how to open the drawer and retrieve them. Had to find a new hiding place.

Casey has a very distinct personality, that's for sure! I was looking for her mouse last night and I found toys everywhere. I didn't bother digging them out. She really only plays with other toys when she can't find her mouse. I keep her new toys in a little box on top of the fridge. I managed to track down 2 of the mice in the picture. I don't see them around today, so no idea where they have been hidden. She has a stash somewhere!

It's a combination of the noise they make and the feathers, I think. I am not sure if there is cat nip.

ReplyDeleteI know! She knows that endless crying will lead to either a new toy or me searching under furniture for the old ones. When I walk by with a flashlight and the fly swatter she knows what is in store. She lays down on the floor and looks, too. Usually either right in my face or right in the beam of the flashlight...

ReplyDeleteToday's post reminded me to stop and tell you that I started a Civil Wars channel on Pandora thanks to you and listen to it about once a week. More if the baby won't sleep, it's great night time stuff. I keep meaning to take note of the other bands they play on it, but never do.
