Week in Review (12)

Random Thoughts

The Once Upon a Time challenge has started, so my reading is moving in that direction. It has mostly been for the month of March, but now it is my genre of choice. I am hoping to read lots and lots of it. I want to take advantage of it to clean off my bookshelves a bit. I own plenty of books that fit the criteria. The post for my reading pool only scrapped the top of the pile. If you haven't signed up for the Once Upon a Time challenge you should do so!

On another note, did you see the new Walk off the Earth video? It's really creative:

Challenge News

I read Hot Mama and Jinx by Jennifer Estep. My post on the trilogy will up tomorrow. I also read Dragonsong by Anne McCaffrey. Then for the short story portion I read 'Hunting Kat' and 'Kat' by Kelley Armstrong.

Weekly Reads

My post on this book will be up tomorrow. (Personal Copy)

This was an interesting comic book read. I don't love the series, but it was a fun diversion. (Library)

I saw this on the e-book site the other day and decided I need to read some Kelley Armstrong. It is part of her young adult series that I really need to get back around to reading while I wait for the new Women of the Otherworld book. (Personal - e-book)

'Kat' by Kelley Armstrong. I found out about this story because of Armstrong's short story collection. It is the prequel to 'Hunting Kat', so it is better to read it the other way around. It is available on her website. I really like Kat.

This book will also be reviewed tomorrow. (Personal - e-book)

I have owned several books by Anne McCaffrey for a while, but I haven't really read much from her. I decided to start with this trilogy and I enjoyed this first book. I am looking forward to where the series goes next.

This book was on NetGalley and I decided to see what it was all about. It was actually a lot of fun! I would be tempted to read the rest of the series. (Review Copy)

  2. I'm glad you enjoyed Dragonsong. I read all three in the initial series, and am thinking of reading Dragonflight for Ouat6. My problem is I haven't picked up the rest in the series yet......and knowing how much I liked the original, I'm going to want to read all three of these books in the series too right away!

    Do you find you are reading more or less since you got your e-reader? Or more of something like short stories with it?

  5. OMG--I haven't heard the song Little Boxes in literally 40 years! (Except to sing parts of it to myself, that is.) My third grade teacher used to bring in his guitar and play and sing for us all the time--that was one of the songs he played a lot. :D

  10. I just found out about Kat by Kelley Armstrong! I'm definitively going to give it a try :) As much as I love Kelley Armstrong writing and the Women of the Otherworld series, I do find that she stretches around a lot, sigh. As a fan, it's hard to keep track ^_^;
