Week in Review (8)

Random Thoughts

February has been one of my best reading months in ages! I feel a little guilty because it is mostly comic books and manga, but, still... YAY! I have been in a reading slump for ages and lately I am excited to read. I hope that means that 2015 will be a good year, but I am trying not to put too much pressure on myself. (Playing around on Scribd has helped!)

Weekly Reading

(February 16, 2015) - I loved this one! The art and the writing were fantastic.

(February 16, 2015) - This, and issue 6, were a good introduction to a series I have been curious about but haven't checked out before now. Science fiction and a bit more. I look forward to more!

(February 17-18, 2015) - I really all 8 volumes of this manga over two days. I loved it! A young female that grows into its own and interesting take on ghosts.

(February 17, 2015) - I read August Moon by this author at one point so was curious about this one. Plus, we have had lots of snow and the title seemed fitting! It was cute!

(February 19, 2015) - I have heard so much good things about this series so I had to check it out. It ended just when it was getting really good and I can't wait to see what happens when the sequel comes out in March!

(February 19, 2015) - Ass-kicking women for the win!

(February 19-20, 2015) - I really like books that take place at schools for the most part, so I decided to check this one out. It was nothing amazing, but I like the series overall and read all four volumes.

(February 20, 2015) - I have read and enjoyed this author before and this was on a lot of best of lists. I am glad I read it and think it might be my favourite so far by this Canadian duo!

  1. I'm going to have to check most of these out! Sadly, Alex + Ada, the one I want to read most, isn't on Scribd and my library doesn't have it, either (at least, not the last time I checked - I should probably check again). I liked This One Summer but I actually liked Skim even more.

  2. I really want to read This One Summer, it looks delightful. But I kind of want to wait and read it in the summer, when I finally get to make my first trip up to our family cabin.

  3. I've never heard of The Woods, but am definitely intrigued. And I didn't realize Diana Thung had any other books out; just read and enjoyed August Moon, so I'll have to look for this one too. What an awesome week of reading, Kelly!!!
