January in Review

What I Learned
I just have to make time for reading. I have a really hard time dropping things and reading the last few years. I end up feeling guilty because there is likely something better I can be doing with my time. I think breaking my ankle and the recovery time reminded me of how much I enjoy reading. And, rearranging my bookshelves as I do a huge purge has reminded me of all the books sitting unread on my shelves. I just want to have a consistent reading year that doesn't have months where nothing is read at all. It is time for me to pay attention to all the books I bought with such excitement and then never got around to reading. And, if I am largely blogging for myself... Oh, well, at least I am keeping a record and brushing off the dust, right?

  1. Busy girl! Love me some Farseer novels, but didn't care for The Girls at the Kingfisher Club as much as everyone else did.

  3. Aw, I wish I could permanently remove people's guilt about taking time for reading. I have to give myself that time because I get a headache if I don't take it, but also, I just love reading so much. I just love love love it.

    Happy February!!

  5. Reading is something that has come and gone for me over the past couple of years. I'm reading a lot right now but I also feel like it's a choice and that if I choose to read then I'm giving something else up (crafting/sewing or blogging). I wish there was time for everything!!

You certainly did get a lot read last month!
