WWW Wednesday - On Thursday (5)

WHAT ARE YOU CURRENTLY READING?
~ Since I actually finished some things last week, I get to talk about new things!
I am currently reading The Promise of Canada by Charlotte Gray. 2017 is Canada's 150th birthday, so lots of stuff will likely be coming out to commemorate that. This is the first one on my radar because I really enjoy Gray. And, this is really well done so far. I am about halfway. Then, I am reading Bad Feminist in my attempt to read some essays/short story collections on my TBR. I started this when it was new, but like normal put it aside and never got back to it. For my novel, I started Dark Matter. I am still early in, but good so far.

WHAT ARE YOU CURRENTLY LISTENING TO?
~ I am listening to Feedback by Mira Grant as my Audible audio. I listened to the rest of the series on audio, so might as well continue the trend. On Scribd I am listening to Becoming Jazz by Jazz Jennings. I have never seen the television show, but I have heard good things about the book and was curious about checking it out.

WHAT DID YOU RECENTLY FINISH READING?
~ I managed to finish a lot of stuff recently. On Monday, I finally finished Gemina. It was really good, but it took a while to get into it because I have been so moody with my reading lately. I am looking forward to the sequel. On audio, I finished What I Saw and How I Lied and Falling Free. They were both really good. Falling Free was a reread! And, then, I finally finished The Geek Feminist Revolution. I had been reading it all month and was glad I was able to finish it as the month ended.

WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU WILL READ NEXT?
~ I am still early into most of the stuff I am reading, so hard to say when I will even get a chance to read something else. I think my next Audible listen will be another book by Lois McMaster Bujold. I have some audios in my wish list for my Scribd project. I guess it depends on what catches my interest next. As to actual reading, I have some non-fiction books on my radar for NonFiction November and then there is always my TBR for the fiction choices.

WWW Wednesday is Hosted at Taking on a World of Words.

  1. I would imagine Gemina and its other books in the series would be very hard to read in audiobook format. No?

  2. I haven't read anything by Charlotte Gray, but look forward to your thoughts on The Promise of Canada.
