April Wrap-Up

Okay, so I didn't take as long a blogging break as planned... No review, but I figured I should wrap-up April so I don't forget! I actually read 26 books in April. That's a lot, but it is down from previous months!

  • 106. So Many Books, So Little Time: A Year of Passionate Reading by Sara Nelson
  • 105. One Piece: Romance Dawn by Eiichiro Oda (Volume 1)
I have not reviewed anything from April. I am still reviewing books from March... This is really no big surprise! I will hopefully remedy that soon. I was trying to remember what caused the slow down of reading, but this was the month of the funeral, my uncle visiting, and other distracting moments!

Favourite Graphic Novel: The Plain Janes by Cecil Castellucci & Jim Rugg

Favourite Adult Novel: Storm Glass by Maria Snyder

Favourite Young Adult Novel:
Nation by Terry Pratchett
Evernight by Claudia Gray (Evernight Series, Book 1)
Gossamer by Lois Lowry
Flora Sugunda by Ysabeau S. Wilce
The Garden of Eve by K.L. Going

Favourite Non-Fiction Read:
The Polysyllabic Spree by Nick Hornby

And, then, the mangas:
Miki Falls - Book 1: Spring by Mark Crilley was my favourite (which sucks because the library doesn't have books 3 and 4! Must figure out what I am going to do about that...)
I am also really enjoying 'One Piece' by Eiichiro Oda. I hope to work on my manga series this month. And, Emma is a given! It was volume 8...

  1. ohhh you never reviewed Chariots of the Gods!! I knew you were going to read it.. i wish you could see the movie ..it was called "In Search of Ancient Astronauts" it was a tv movie but I see you might be able to find some stuff on youtube using that title.. but I'd still be interested to hear if it gave you pause to wonder.(not necessarily believe but wonder.. i wonder)

  3. I could not help but chuckle at your "down" month of just 26 books. :) You know that I am in complete and utter awe of you, right? Seriously, the month that I can read 26 books will be followed by the month that I throw one whopper of a party to celebrate!

  4. Plain Janes was one of my favorite graphic novels, too. Are you planning on reading the sequel?

  5. Pat: I will review it at some point. It did make me think, though! I'll get into it more when I review it!

Rhinoa: Thanks! I hope to start next week with a steady stream of reviews. We will see how that works out!

Debi: haha, well, I did say it was still a lot of books, I just have read more! And, thanks! You read a lot for what you have going on in your life, though!

Melissa: I would like to read the sequel, but the library does not have it. I will have to decide if I want to see if I can get it from another one!

Wait, wait, wait. 26 books is low for your monthly totals? O_O You're a marvel! (Which I think I've been saying to you for the past few posts, so I'll stop there.)

  8. Looks like you read some good ones and some ones that I'd like to read too! (Btw, I liked Evernight but I wasn't crazy about it since I preferred Bartholomew to Lucas). Don't feel bad, I'm only just now almost through reviewing February!

  9. Alice: Thank you! haha

Libritouches: This year it is low. Last year it would have been crazy high! And, thanks. lol

Tink: Glad you liked Evernight. I requested the sequel from the library, so we will have to see when that makes an appearance!
