Random Thoughts
This weekend was a busy reading weekend for many people, but I never really got a chance to read at all. It turned out to be a busy weekend, so I am a bit behind on several things. I did finish a few books this week, but I am very close to finishing a couple others. I had big plans to get to them this weekend, but then I was hardly home. I am a little disappointed that it didn't work out. I didn't even get a chance to pay any attention to the readathon!
This week starts a slew of Short Story Monday posts as I review The Best of Charles de Lint for Once Upon a Time V with Carl from Stainless Steel Droppings. I also have a few books I really want to finish! There is Enchanted Glass for a buddy review with Memory and Ana. I have been reading Dreams Underfoot by Charles de Lint for a while and had planned to finish it this weekend, but I still have a few pages left. Then, there is a book about The Lord of the Rings and I am still supposedly reading Troublesome Young Men. I really would like to finish these books before starting anything else. The list of things I really want to start, though, is crazy long!

Sunday Book Coveting
See? This is why I have to start reading more than three books a week... I want to read all of these and many more!!

The Peach Keeper is another great book. I absolutely adore Sarah Addison Allen. And I've got to admit that the cover of The Dark and Hollow Places has me interested...
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a great week!

All of those look wonderful. Particularly the Robin Hobb... Must look up that Patricia Briggs too. :-)
ReplyDeleteI agree! All those Want To Reads look wonderful.
ReplyDeleteJust read Jo Walton's Among Others and enjoyed it overall. Had a couple of minor issues, but it was a great reminder of all the books I haven't read yet! The main character talks about books and libraries so much that I couldn't help but like it :)
ReplyDeleteThat sucks your weekend didn't see you getting to do a lot of reading. I can relate. I only finished ONE book. Blah.
ReplyDeleteAll those books you're coveting look good.
*cj: The Dark and Hollow Places is book 3 in a trilogy. Just so you know. :)
ReplyDeleteI am looking forward to the Sarah Addison Allen!
*Cath: The Patricia Briggs is book 3 in a 4 book series. I am looking forward to some Robin Hobb.

*Amy: I managed to finish a book yesterday at least!
I keep seeing Discovery of Witches on a lot of blogs too and everyone is loving it. I've got that one on my shelf too but you know how it goes. I need to read faster! :)
