A rare picture of me... |
But, one 'spring' activity is the Once Upon a Time Reading Challenge. It is the 8th year that Carl has hosted this challenge. Normally I would have signed up by now, but I think I am generally in a better mood and feel 'spring-like' in March. It is usually a way better month than February. Mother Nature has gone wacko this year. Anyway, I do want to participate and hopefully I can kick off this slump soon. This means I should sign up!
Read at least 5 books that fit somewhere within the Once Upon a Time categories. They might all be fantasy, or folklore, or fairy tales, or mythology…or your five books might be a combination from the four genres.1.

Stories are not just limited to the printed page. Many entertaining, moving, profound or simply fun stories are told in the realm of television and film. To participate in this quest simply let us know about the films and/or television shows that you feel fit into the definitions of fantasy, fairy tales, folklore or mythology that you are enjoying during the challenge.1. I usually post my 'pool' of possibilities separately. I will hopefully manage that tomorrow.
Will winter never end? I'm sure it does get discouraging to have one snow storm after another. Hope you will soon have another list of OUaT possibilities!
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry winter's making you miserable! I send lots of good thoughts for spring to come soon.
ReplyDeleteI get the winter blues too though we don't have quite the winter you have! Hopefully you can kick the slump soon! The challenge sounds interesting. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteCute picture of you! And, yes, Mother Nature has gone crazy. I'm blaming my horrible reading month on that too :)
ReplyDeleteGlad to see you joining in Carl's challenge!
I hope you're able to get out of your slump soon. Sending hugs your way.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the challenge, Kelly. I hope you are able to get out of your slump soon. I am looking at my list of must reads (only two) for April and feeling a little hesitant. They are books I WANT to read, both group reads. I'm sure I will love them when I get into them. It's starting them that is the problem.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy Once Upon a Time Reading Challenge :) And I am so ready for warm weather!
ReplyDeleteWe had a few super nice days, and then today we're under a blizzard warning. I'm hoping that it will end up just being rain, but who knows. I NEED spring to come soon.
ReplyDeleteThis weather has seriously been horrible. My brain is just hanging on until we make it to spring!
ReplyDeleteI know better than to start looking for spring before mid-April, so it just doesn't get to me like some people. Rich, who didn't grow up in the Great Lakes snow belt, goes crazy at this time of year. The amount of swearing uttered from his mouth on Sunday when he had to shovel the latest 10" of snow was definitely greater than usual. :P I admit it does even get to me when people start showing off their pics spring flowers and garden preparations though. :P I hope you get your spring soon, Kells!!! And Happy Once Upon a Time-ing!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm doing the challenge too, at the moment am trying to figure out if a Robin Hood retelling counts as myth, legend as he is. You have an opinion on that one?
